The GlobalGap standard is applicable in three areas: crops, livestock and aquaculture.
The main requirements of the Global G.A.P standard relate to:​
- Production technical requirements related to the implementation of the standard at each point of the inspection report;
- Hygienic production requirements regarding the implementation of hygiene rules in production units and storage, but not only;
- Environmental protection requirements, which is also related to employee training in order to avoid environmental damage during production, harvesting, transportation, cleaning, packaging and product storage;
- Requirements of working conditions for female workers in order to create necessary spaces for workers; to rest, eat and fulfill their needs during working hours;
- Requirements regarding the traceability of manufactured and marketed products, which is closely related to the identification of the production area and the manufacturer, as well as the identification and use of Global G.A.P. production indications.
